Caberg Freeride Helmet

Caberg Freeride Helmet

Product Review (submitted on May 10, 2025):
Finish quality is quite good. Paint finish is excellent. Glossy finish is prone to scratching what is unavoidable. I chose this model over Bandit ECE Jet, despite this being +50% the price, because manufacturer's description stated it's leather finished, I wanted something with a bit of "exclusive feel". Unfortunateley, it's definiteley not leather, manufacturer thought saving 0.5 Euro on a scrap of genuine leather is worth it- a pity. Caberg also cannot decide on what is the weight- the .pdf ad says "slightly above 800gr", then "900 +/- 50gr", "850 +/- 50g". Ventilation basically doesn't exist. Internal part is made of dense styrofoam, without air canals. Rear vents are fake, just like the leather. The internal lining is made of breathable fabric, what doesn't matter much because on the other side non breathable polyurethane foam cushioning is sown in. The sizing I find accurate. Supplied visor is ok. The fastener is convenient and reliable. I'm quite fine with this helmet, but I would choose Bandit ECE Jet next time which is a bar of chocolate heavier and the visor has to be bought separately but is also more stylish.
